Starring in Lost, where you’re never sure what lurks around the next palm tree or why, got Matthew Fox ready for Vantage Point. It’s a thriller that keeps replaying a presidential assassination from the varying viewpoints of everyone from the Secret Service to the assassins. “I think it’s provocative and timely,” Fox says, “the idea that one event can be perceived so differently by different people, depending on who they are and if they have an agenda. It’s always amazing to me how people can walk around thinking that the way that they see the world is the only way because it’s just not the truth.” That’s about all we can say about Vantage Point without spoiling the surprises that keep on coming. I can tell you that Matthew is in the middle of a car chase, which is the longest and scariest since The Bourne Supremacy. But, he confessed he left the driving to the stunt guys. “I love getting behind the wheel, but it was just too intense,” he says.
